Stray dogs in similar circumstances share a special bond that we can hardly understand. They rarely leave each other’s side and always ensure they move together.
In a way, they provide each other with the comfort and care they truly miss in life.
Toby and Daisy were that kind of duo! These two stray furballs, living in an industrial area in Southern California after being abandoned, had it good – just because they had one another!
In a situation full of uncertainty and danger, they wore the biggest smiles on their faces: the smiles of shared love, companionship, and hope.

Suzette Hall, a long-time rescuer with Logan’s Legacy in Irvine, California, has tried for months to provide a better life for Daisy and Toby. Together with her colleagues, Hall set a humane trap in the area and waited – but to no success!
She later found that this duo had been living in the industrial area much longer than she had initially thought.
“These two babies were dumped in an industrial area. When we found out about them it had been 4 months that they were there,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

It was a true miracle seeing Toby and Daisy smile in each other’s company, as they literally had nothing – except each other.
“They had only had each other all those months,” Hall added.
Still, they somehow managed to survive through what can only be described as the worst of times. Hall and the team were determined to help; they just needed a better strategy.

One day, as they were preparing to capture both dogs in their trap, they spotted Daisy in her old spot all alone. She was frantically pacing as if she was trying to tell the rescuers something.
But, Daisy didn’t need to say a word. Hall already knew – her buddy was missing!
The entire team tried to locate Toby, but this furry boi was nowhere to be found. In the meantime, Daisy was taken into foster care by Hall’s partner. However, this poor girl couldn’t hide her heartbreak at not having her long-time buddy with her. She missed him so much!
Then, one day, a miracle happened!
From Heartbreak To Hope

Exactly one month after he went missing, one of the volunteers accidentally spotted a picture of Toby on social media.
“Alyssa saw a post of a dog defeated and sad in a corner and by golly it was Toby, miles away from where they were,” Hall wrote.
The rescuers immediately drove to the spot to pick up the dog when true heartbreak unfolded. Instead of being reluctant and shy like before, Toby completely surrendered. He was evidently exhausted, wearing a leash around his neck and bearing the scars of trauma.
The volunteers loaded him into their car and drove him toward a better life, even though he still didn’t know what to expect. Toby was quiet the entire drive home until, eventually, he saw a familiar face!
There she was, in her foster’s yard – Daisy! As soon as she saw her long-lost bud, her face broke into a big smile!
Toby, on the other side, shared her street sister’s enthusiasm and couldn’t have been happier to finally be next to her.

Just seeing these two furry babies reunite after such a long time was truly rewarding and truly heartwarming!
“A real love story…We are still crying,” she added.
For now, Toby and Daisy will remain in foster care awaiting proper families. Hopefully, these two will find nice, caring hoomans who will provide them with endless love and a cozy home!
