Oklahoma Woman Noticed A Dog Waiting At Front Door Of The Gym And Begging For Help, So She Did Something Amazing

It’s pretty sad when we see dogs who are struggling to get by. The most heartbreaking part is when they give us the saddest look, expecting us to save them.

How could anyone not help them in such a situation? I can understand that someone might be struggling financially, so they can’t afford to adopt, but sending them to a shelter where they can receive help is also an option.

I just can’t fathom what so many of these dogs have gone through. It’s really tragic to see, and I wish we could help out all of them, but sometimes it’s difficult.

Nevertheless, this woman from Oklahoma spotted a dog standing at the door of her local gym, so she went to help him out.

He Had Such A Sad Look On His Face

When Kimberly saw the dog at the door, she got close and opened the door. That’s when she noticed that he was pretty scared because he backed away at that same moment.

He was still pretty desperate for help, so the dog approached her again. Kimberly talked to him for a while in an attempt to soothe him.

It actually worked, and then he followed her back to the car. She put him in there and pretty much just drove straight to her home in Oklahoma.

The dog was so tired and exhausted that he could barely walk. Kimberly gave him some food and water, although she wasn’t really prepared for this.

She did her best, and then she gave him a thorough bath to clean him up. That’s when she noticed that he was covered in fleas, and his fur hadn’t been groomed in a long time.

After that, she helped him get rid of all the fleas, while the pup was sleeping. It’s clear that he hadn’t relaxed like this in a long time, and he felt so safe with Kimberly.

The next day, she took him to the veterinarian, and they established right away that the dog did not have a microchip.

Kimberly Made The Best Decision

So Kimberly decided to post the dog on her local social media pages and she got a hit. A woman messaged her and told her that it was her dog.

However, something was off about this. After reaching out, the woman didn’t try to claim the dog until six days had passed. When Kimberly asked for proof of ownership, the woman just ghosted her.

She contacted her local sheriff’s department in Oklahoma, and they told her that it’s probably best not to engage and just call them the next time if the same woman messaged her.

That’s when Kimberly decided to keep the dog. She could tell right away that there was a bond between the two of them, but she was still learning so much about him.

Since it was all new for her, she had to get used to his habits, and also learn if there were any restrictions she should know about.

After realizing that he was actually adopted, the pup started coming out of his shell more and that changed everything.

He was so sweet, outgoing and cuddly. The pup loved spending every moment with his mom.

He was so joyful that Kimberly wanted him to become a local therapy dog because she believed that he could help out a lot of people. If he can make his new owner so happy, then he can help out everyone.

I believe my sweet fur baby, Mittens, knew I was lonely since his passing two months ago. I found this little guy. Covered in fleas, stickers, fur matted, hadn’t been groomed, and scared. I called local shelters and no one had reported him. No microchip. Posted him on social media media. A lady said he was hers but didn’t reach out to me until 6 days after commenting on the post and wouldn’t show proof of ownership, couldn’t confirm if he was microchipped but said she had him since he was 10 weeks old. (I waited 24 hrs after she said she would send it to me which makes it now 7 days). I didn’t want the poor guy to go to the wrong home. It’s so easy to log in to your vet portal these days. After calling the authorities to ask what my options were because I wasn’t trying to get in any trouble, I now have this guy. Meet Pluto. ❤️@Petco @Zesty Paws @Milk-Bone @The Paw Spa Elite
