Some dogs can’t resist a little commotion, especially when another animal is nearby.
So when this one spotted a cat in the car next to them, barking seemed like a natural reaction. But there was something different about how he was acting, more focused, almost alarmed.
The Arizona owner tried to calm him, expecting him to lose interest after a few seconds. Instead, the barking got louder, and the dog wouldn’t look away.
The cat, meanwhile, sat motionless, almost too still. That’s when curiosity took over. The owner leaned in for a better look, and what they saw explained everything.
What Captured His Attention?
When the Arizona owner first went on a car ride with her dog, she noticed that the pup was starting to get a bit agitated.
She had no idea what was causing this until the dog started barking at the car that was nearby. This went on for a while.
The owner looked to see what was upsetting him so much, only to realize that it was a cat, but it was not a live one. Well, what was it then?
Someone in the other car placed a car decal of a cat, and it looked like the cat was just staring at your soul with its huge eyes.
Naturally, the dog picked up on this and it was probably what spooked her, so she started barking; however, she didn’t understand that it wasn’t real.
Her owner decided to take a video of this funny moment because it had been going on for a while and she had a suspicion it would go viral on TikTok.

As expected, the funny clip did indeed go viral, and people just couldn’t contain their laughter after seeing this event unfold.
One person tried to quote the dog’s barks, and they roughly translated this: “I’m telling you right now motherfluffer right there…”
I am not sure because I do not speak dog language, but that seems like an accurate translation of what the dog was thinking.
Another person said: “There’s a town in Indiana that has concrete lions everywhere. My dog barked all the way through that town.”
So, it’s not just one dog. A lot of dogs do this, and it’s just so hilarious. Their inability to tell a real dog from a statue or piece of cardboard always amuses us.
Lastly, somebody commented: “The person who placed that sticker knew exactly what they were doing.”
Oh, I have no doubt that the car owner placed that in there just to get a reaction out of dogs who go on car drives. I think that person is enjoying themselves a lot.
Nevertheless, dogs may struggle to tell what is real and what is fake, but situations like that always make us laugh, and it’s just one of many reasons we love them.
