Birth is one of life’s most beautiful and extraordinary events.

The staff at a West Virginia veterinary clinic experienced that joy firsthand when an adorable Greyhound mama went into labor. As she began delivering her puppies, the entire team came together to support her and celebrate the new arrivals.

With a large litter on the way, everyone was eager to help.

A Team Effort In Welcoming New Life

When a patient at Cross Lanes Veterinary Hospital required an emergency C-section, every staff member jumped into action. They scrubbed in, gathered supplies, and prepared the operating room for the big moment.

As each puppy was delivered, the newborn was carefully handed to a waiting team member who checked vital signs and gently cleaned the tiny pup.

After the final Greyhound puppy arrived, the West Virginia surgeon completed the procedure successfully, ensuring the mother’s comfort and safety.

Once all the puppies were stable, the team turned their attention to the mama dog, monitoring her closely and helping her recover from surgery.

Now, the little family is doing well. The proud mama keeps her babies clean, cozy, and well-fed, while the staff makes sure they remain healthy and comfortable.

In time, each of the puppies will grow strong enough to find a forever family to love them.
