Three-Legged Dog From Texas Kept Walking In Traffic But Then One Driver Stopped To Help And Everything Changed

There is nothing worse than seeing a struggling dog who is so depressed that he doesn’t care what happens to him.

Sometimes, dogs endure too much on their own, but even they have a limit. When that limit is reached, they just shut down.

They will carelessly walk into dangerous areas or even traffic and it’s heartbreaking to see how life changes them in such a way. All they wanted was a chance at a normal life.

When this driver saw a three-legged dog walking through traffic on a Texas road, she knew that she had to do something, so she stopped and got out of her car.

He Was In Agony For So Long

After the woman stopped to help the dog, she noted just how scared he was of humans. It’s safe to say that he has endured abuse from other people at some point.

This was just gut-wrenching, and the fact that he is missing a leg can either mean that he lost it or he was born with it.

The kind people knew that they had to help, but he wasn’t letting anyone near him, and it was dangerous to get close because he could run directly into the road.

So, the rescuers devised a clever plan. They placed a humane trap for the dog and waited for him to get inside.

It took a while, but eventually, they were able to help him. The dog was terrified after the kennel doors closed, so he started barking.

The kind Texas people tried to calm him down, but he was just too scared. So they called Mike, co-founder of Sunny Street Dogs Rescue.

The Pup Was Beginning To Heal

They arrived at the scene quickly and assessed the situation. Mike knew that there was still hope for this dog, so he took it upon himself to train him.

He needed to regain his faith in humanity, and that was not going to be an easy task. Mike knew right away that the dog wasn’t aggressive.

There was a lot of love in him, and he wanted to show it. He was taken to a veterinary clinic in Texas where he received medical help.

The pup, now named Trio, was also given a bath, and he is starting his new life as a transformed dog.

He is changing slowly and the rescuers are noticing it. His mood is shifting. He is becoming more outgoing and playful every day.

Trio trusts his new rescuers to care for him and it’s really heartwarming to see that he’s making such an incredible transformation.

Since he is only two years old, it shouldn’t be too hard for him to find a home. The rescuers believe he would fit in with just about anyone, and I really hope a wonderful family adopts him.
