How do you possibly make a dog understand that they have to be separated from their person?
That was the crushing situation one woman found herself in when she had to bring her beloved senior dog, Jackson, to a shelter. The reason was straightforward but heartbreaking: she was about to begin cancer treatment and would be hospitalized.
It shattered her to think of Jackson, who had been right there with her for so long, suddenly ending up in an overcrowded shelter where his safety wasn’t guaranteed.
