One dog owner in New York discovered just how unpredictable a grooming visit can be after picking up her dog and realizing she was in for a surprise she would never forget.
An Appointment That Took An Unexpected Turn
It started as a routine day for Preslea Wilson, who dropped her dog off at a grooming salon in Manhattan.
When she arrived, she learned that the groomer assigned to her dog was new and still in training.
The grooming session began like any other, but halfway through, the groomer ran out of time and had to reschedule the remainder for the following morning.
Because the appointment was cut short, the dog’s haircut turned out to be unintentionally funny. Only the fur around his head and neck had been trimmed, while the rest of his body remained fluffy and untouched.
Preslea couldn’t help but laugh when she saw her dog. She took him home and filmed the moment, capturing the sight of her half-groomed dog, whose head looked perfectly styled, while the rest of his body was in chaos.
The next day, she returned to the salon, and the grooming was finished properly. By the end, her pup looked as adorable as ever.
The Video Goes Viral
Preslea posted the video on TikTok, not expecting much. However, within days, It went viral, quickly gaining millions of views and attracting a flood of comments.
One viewer wrote: “As someone who is a grooming apprentice, some people’s dogs aren’t safe to work on. It happens, we do our best but we also won’t risk our safety or the dogs, idk the case for this dog but yk.”
This is true. Grooming can be tough, especially when a dog is anxious or restless.
