Carly, a sweet puppy, would have done anything to remain with her family.
Living under the care of an owner who provided little affection or proper care, Carly and her parents developed painful skin conditions from lack of medical attention.
Rather than seeking help, their owner took them to BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions in Texas and requested they be euthanized.
The family was then separated into different kennels. In her cage, Carly searched desperately for her parents, yearning for the comfort of her mother’s presence.
Hoping For A Miracle

Madeline, a devoted foster volunteer known for helping dogs in critical situations, often visits shelters to speak up for those most in need.
When she heard about Carly and her parents’ plight, she immediately went to see them.
In her kennel, Carly looked lost and heartbroken. Her eyes followed Madeline’s every move, begging for help or perhaps just for her mother.

Madeline’s heart ached for her. She decided to visit Carly’s mom, Chicha, and dad, Chicho, who were being kept separately. Both had the same look of sadness and confusion, as if they were still trying to understand what had happened to their family.

Chicho’s friendly personality melted Madeline’s heart instantly. He pressed his body against the kennel bars, eager for gentle touch and affection.
Chicha’s condition was much worse. Mange had left her with bare patches of skin, and her body showed signs of long-term neglect.

Even so, Madeline could sense Chicha’s worry for her missing puppy. She promised the mother that she would reunite her with Carly soon.
When she finally led Chicha toward the area where Carly was housed, the mother instantly recognized her baby’s scent and hurried forward.

Separated by the metal bars, the two dogs pressed their noses together, sniffing and licking one another through the cage.
Carly reached out her paw, desperate to touch her mother, her tail wagging for the first time in days.
A Fight To Save Them

Madeline recorded a video of the little family and shared it online, pleading for help. Her post quickly caught attention, and before long, SNARR Animal Rescue Northeast stepped in.
Based in New York, the organization is known for rescuing dogs with medical issues or those who have been overlooked, giving them a second chance at life.
The team arranged for foster homes for all three, Carly, Chicha, and Chicho, ensuring each would have safety, warmth, and the care they had been denied.

Today, the trio is thriving in foster care, learning what love and comfort truly mean. In a few months, they’ll travel to New York, where their journey toward finding forever homes will begin.
