Arizona Woman Finds Three Wild Guests Lounging Beneath Her Foosball Table

Living in a quiet, rural part of town often brings unexpected moments. For many Arizona residents, it’s not uncommon to see stray pets or wildlife wander across their property.

It’s part of the charm of country life, and most homeowners welcome the occasional animal visitor. Sometimes, it even brings a smile.

But for one Arizona homeowner, Jenny Wantland, a recent morning encounter was anything but typical. When she stepped into her sunroom, she found three furry guests lounging comfortably inside.

A Morning Surprise

Jenny immediately recognized the animals. Nestled beneath her foosball table were three javelinas, resting as if they belonged there.

This wasn’t her first experience with the species. When she first moved into the home, she had already formed a bond with a javelina named Hector, so she knew exactly who she was looking at.

Jenny told The Dodo: “Hector had a hurt back leg and was limping a lot when we first met. It almost seemed like he came to our house for a safe retreat, always lying down on our front porch.”

She explained that before she purchased the property, the house had been vacant for some time. It’s likely that local wildlife had grown accustomed to using the shaded areas for shelter, especially during the intense Arizona heat.

After all, in Arizona, even wild animals seek out cool places to rest. Jenny didn’t mind sharing her space.

Her connection with Hector grew over time. Initially, he kept his distance, but slowly he began to trust her. Eventually, his visits became part of her daily routine.

Jenny reflected: “I think it’s amazing that a natural relationship was created.”

A Familiar Face Returns With Company

Hector eventually seemed to consider Jenny’s home part of his territory. Though still wild, he came and went freely.

So when Jenny entered her sunroom and saw Hector relaxing with two companions, she wasn’t entirely surprised, but she couldn’t help but laugh.

The trio looked completely at ease under the foosball table. Jenny wasn’t sure how they had gotten inside, but she suspected they had nudged their way through the screen door.

Jenny said: “I’m unsure how they got in there, my only thought is maybe they pushed through the screen door and it unlatched and then closed behind them?”

Curious to see what they would do, she opened the door again. But instead of rushing out, the javelinas stayed put, enjoying the shade a little longer before eventually heading off.

For Jenny, the moment was both amusing and touching. She was delighted that Hector had brought his friends to visit.

She summed it up beautifully: “Life with Hector and his friends feels so special and unique. There’s no give or take, no training or feeding, just an understanding that maybe we both aren’t as scary as the other thought.”

Waking up to three javelinas breaking into my house and spending the night was not on my 2025 bingo card.. but here we are 🥴 what would you have done? #javelina #desert #desertlife #wildlife #desertliving #desertvibes #tucson #dailyvlog
