Blind Dog Loses It Every Time She Senses Her Favorite Human Is Near

That love knows no boundaries, no matter how big they are, we can see in many situations. No matter how far two people in love are from each other, for various reasons, if their love is strong enough, it will win in the end.

This is even more pronounced in dogs, and we can see it best in those heartwarming videos that show a dog who cannot control his emotions when he sees his owner after several months or even more.

Today’s heartwarming video and story from Austin, Texas are similar, yet completely different. The encounter you are about to witness truly shows that love conquers all, even when we can’t see it at all.

The Most Touching Encounter

After Grace, a 12-year-old dog who lives with her family in Austin, Texas, became totally blind, her parents were worried that she would never be able to live a happy life again.

However, little by little, this tiny senior dog was getting used to her new reality, and what was most important, she was accepting it. Her love for her canine sister Katie and her mom Shelby Salmela never faded, even though she could never see them again.

Yet, one person was deeply engraved in her heart and that was Shelby’s mom and Grace’s grandmother Wendy. Because she lived in another state, they couldn’t visit her very often, but when they did, it was always a special encounter.

Shelby decided to record one of those heartwarming meetings and share the video with her TikTok followers.

“Best day ever,” Shelby wrote in the caption of the video, and you can clearly see why. Grace was so excited when she felt Wendy near that she couldn’t control her emotions anymore.

Although she couldn’t see her physically, Wendy was living deep in Grace’s heart, and there the view is obviously much brighter than on the outside.

A Little Warrior Of Love

Although, judging by this video, it seems that Grace’s life is idyllic, it was not always like that. She had to go through a lot of hardships to be able to love like this again.

A few years ago, Grace’s parents noticed that her one eye was bigger than the other so they rushed her to the vet. There, she was diagnosed with inherited glaucoma and the ophthalmologist suggested removing the right eye due to the high pressure.

The problems for Grace and her parents did not stop there because the pressure soon started to increase in the left eye as well. They took her to the vet again, where they once again suggested removing the eye

Shelby and her husband refused at first but eventually accepted when they realized that their dog would definitely go totally blind. The removal of the other eye was the most heartbreaking moment for Grace’s parents because they thought that her life would never be the same.

They were right in part because Grace’s life was truly never the same. But actually, it was even better. To overcome this difficult obstacle, Grace’s love became much stronger, and when you have a strong enough love, then you have the clearest sight – you start to see with your heart.

You become the warrior of love!
