Seeing more and more homeless animals roaming the streets with nowhere to go is genuinely painful to witness.
Even so, there is still hope in the kindness of the people who dedicate their lives to rescuing them.
One young dog left near a shopping mall had already been through far more than he should have.
Most people passed him without even looking, and before long, cars began hitting him as he stayed close to the area. His pain went unnoticed until one worker saw the sadness in his eyes and began giving him little treats.
With time, that worker realized food alone was not enough for this pup. That was the moment someone finally reached out for help.
Help Just In Time

The dog limped across the mall parking lot, occasionally resting under a tree when his strength ran out, unaware that everything was about to change.
Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 in Irvine, California, arrived with her rescue team, determined to bring him to safety.
Her heart sank when she saw him. His weary face reflected every hardship he had endured. All he wanted was something simple: a meal and a place to rest, and soon he would finally get both.
Since they didn’t want to frighten him, the rescuers quietly set a trap and waited. Before long, the exhausted pup stepped inside.
When he saw people approaching, he wagged his tail, almost as if he knew his suffering was over.
Hall quickly carried him into her car and rushed him to the veterinarian for a full examination.

A Difficult Diagnosis
After several tests, the vets discovered that the dog, now named Bruiser, had a fractured pelvis that would likely require surgery. He stayed at the clinic where he was treated, given fluids, and kept comfortable with pain medication.

Even in pain, Bruiser showed incredible sweetness. He loved being near his rescuers, covering them with kisses and gentle affection.
“It always amazes me how scared they are on the streets and then how thankful they are after they know they were rescued,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.
While awaiting surgery, which doctors believed might involve inserting a metal plate, Bruiser enjoyed care, company, and plenty of good meals.
A Remarkable Recovery

Then something surprising happened. As days passed, Bruiser started to recover naturally.
The veterinarians soon realized that his body was healing on its own, and surgery was no longer necessary.

“Bruiser will be on cage rest with his amazing foster mom. His hip fractures are in line to heal on their own,” Hall shared in an update.
Now safe and comfortable with his foster mom, Bruiser continues to heal every day.
Before long, he will be running freely again, ready to find a loving forever home — something he has always deserved.
