On the internet, a phenomenon called the cat distribution system is well known, and particularly because stray cats tend to choose their new owners.
With their adorable act, they try to sway the human into submission so that they eventually get adopted, and they do.
This also applies to the puppy distribution system. It’s something that happens quite often in the U.S. and it’s what’s helping us save more animals.
When this man from California heard a strange noise coming from under his car, he had to stop and check it out, only to find out something shocking underneath.
How Did It Get There?
Tory Strauss had been thinking for a while about getting a pet for himself, but even he didn’t quite imagine it would happen in such an unusual way.
However, before he had a chance to go to a shelter to find one, the cat distribution system chose him. He heard a strange noise under his car.
He checked it, only to see a kitten in the undercarriage of the car just staring back at him. She was so tiny that he could barely see her.
Strauss gently pulled her out and took her back to his home in California. And just like that, he found a kitten that he had been looking for.
She was also scheduled for a vet’s appointment. They told him that she was feral, and that he should probably take her to a shelter.
And while he was there, they told him that he should euthanize her because she would not adapt to this kind of life, which was just untrue.
As a new cat dad, he had many duties. He took the kitten shopping for food, collar, toys, and basically everything that she would need.
The kitten, now named Miss Piggy, is already living her best life, and all of that happened because of the cat distribution system. Strauss is a very fortunate man.
TikTok Reactions
After this incredible moment was captured on camera, Strauss’ followers on TikTok had quite a few things to say.
One person commented: “Feral kittens can become normal pets. My older cat was a feral kitten and he’s the cuddliest boy ever.”
Yeah, there’s nothing about them that says they can’t be domesticated. I took in a feral cat when I was younger and he adapted just fine.
Another person said: “Put her down for what!???? I’m so glad you kept that baby!!”
Well, I don’t know the exact conversation, but sometimes shelters euthanize animals that can’t fit in with anyone.
Usually, it’s aggressive or feral animals, like this kitten. The only difference is that Miss Piggy is getting along with everyone.
Lastly, somebody commented: “The Cat distribution system strikes again!!!”
And it chose the best person for this kitten. Thanks to Strauss, Miss Piggy got away from the isolated street life, and is now thriving in her new home.
