For dogs trying to survive on the streets, staying close to one another is often their only sense of comfort and security.
With no family to depend on and no shelter to protect them, companionship can make the fear a little easier to endure.
That is why it is especially heartbreaking when bonded stray dogs are separated during rescue attempts. In this case, however, the story unfolded differently.
When experienced rescuer Suzette Hall from Southern California received a call about three abandoned puppies seen in an alley, she and her friend Mary hurried to the scene with a clear purpose.
Their priority was simple but crucial: to keep the frightened trio together.
Three Frightened Puppies Cling To Each Other For Safety

A local resident named Mysi Anne was stunned when she discovered three small dogs in an alley near her California home. The pups were visibly terrified of people, and their sudden appearance made it clear they had been dumped.
“Three little babies dumped in an alley. They literally stuck together like glue. They only had each other,” Hall wrote on Facebook.
It was obvious they wouldn’t last much longer on their own. Their bond gave them strength, but they needed help urgently. Mysi contacted Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, who arrived with Mary to begin the rescue.

Hall had only one humane trap with her and expected the process to be slow and difficult due to the dogs’ fear. But things unfolded differently.
“They were scared and would run if you tried to get them. I only had one trap with me because my other one got stolen. So one by one we got them safe. Each one wanted to be with the other ones,” Hall added.
As soon as the trap was placed, the puppies began entering it one at a time.
Two of the puppies were girls, and one was a boy. All three were starving. The scent of hot dogs inside the trap was enough to draw them in and earn their trust.
This time, their trust led to something good. After enduring who knows how long on the streets, they were finally safe and cared for.
Hall and Mary gently placed the trio in their car and drove them away from the alley toward a new beginning.
Together At Last In A Place Of Safety

By the end of the day, the sight of the three puppies curled up together was unforgettable. They were finally secure and could rest without fear.
“They literally just snuggled up to each other, just like glue. Sweet little babies won’t have to stay in that alley ever again,” Hall concluded.
After their initial vet checkups, only one step remained for these resilient pups: finding permanent homes.
Given all they had endured, there’s no question the
