Dog Injured In A Car Accident Crawls Into A Random Neighborhood, Hoping To Find Help

Left at the mercy of the streets, stray dogs live in hopes that one day, they will change their sad destiny.

Since street life is dangerous, the canines sometimes get in trouble and need human help.

A homeless pup, later named Shazam, didn’t know where to go or whom to turn to after he got hit by a car.

The brave pup managed to gather the strength to crawl into a random neighborhood.

Shazam curled into a corner with a heart heavy with sadness. He hoped that the humans would show him compassion and help.

The doggo remained in the corner for three days. He didn’t move.

The neighbors fed him and took care of him.

After one of the residents learned about Hope For Paws, an animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles, they called them to help Shazam.

As soon as Eldad and Loreta received the call, they dashed to the family address to rescue the homeless canine.

When the rescuers saw him lying helplessly in the corner, their hearts sank. Shazam looked incredibly sad. He was too scared to even look at them.

Eldad caressed him, trying to make the dog feel relaxed.

He managed to put a leash over his neck. Just when Eldad tried to lift him, Shazam started acting defensively. He was too scared to let the good people help him.

As the canine was opposed to being rescued, Eldad realized that Shazam was badly injured and that he couldn’t stand on his paws.

The giant-hearted rescuer cuddled the pup, wishing to reassure him that they would help him get better.

Loreta came up with a great idea of making a sling using a towel in order to lift Shazam and carefully place him in a crate.

Once they put him in the crate, Shazam curled up on a blanket and looked at his rescuers with eyes filled with gratitude.

Shazam Makes A Complete Recovery

Eldad and Loreta carried him to a car and cuddled him.

They drove him to a hospital where he received a complete medical examination.

An X-ray showed that Shazam’s pelvis was broken. The pooch had to be on strict crate rest.

After Shazam was given the necessary medical care, the wonderful caregivers gave Shazam a soothing bath. The canine loved it.

LA Animal Rescue took the canine in. The good people found him a loving foster home where he started the road to his recovery.

Thanks to the love and care he received, Shazam started healing.

Although he was grateful and affectionate toward his caregivers, the canine was still frightened, and he needed time to heal his emotional wounds.

“He’s so scared but sweet. Once he’s fully healed we can start working with his fear of the leash and help him prepare for his next step, a forever home.  We take it slow, some things can’t be rushed.  Dogs like Shazi need time to recover physically and mentally and emotionally, the Los Angeles-based rescue wrote in a Facebook post.

As time went by, Shazam overcame his fear and got rid of his emotional baggage. The pup cuddled with his foster family and reciprocated their love.

A few months later, the canine made a complete recovery. His eyes sparkled with joy as he ran around in the yard of his foster home.

Having successfully overcome all the obstacles that stood in his way, the lovely pup began searching for a forever home.

He hopes to meet his loving humans and start the happiest chapter of his life.
