Escape Artist Dog Tries to Break Loose and Ends Up Stuck in a Fence: ‘She Didn’t Learn!’ (Exclusive)

A dog named CeeCee's attempt to sneak away didn't go as planned.

Owner Amyre Henderson captured footage of her soon-to-be 3-year-old pooch in a precarious position with her hind legs stuck in a fence in her yard.

"Yall… she didn't learn!!!" she captioned the video posted on TikTok on Sept. 22.

Henderson, who lives in Detroit, tells PEOPLE she recently bought a house after living in an apartment building with an open area that allowed CeeCee to interact with other canines.

'We've been here about a month now, and I guess she just wants to explore," she says of CeeCee's need to get out of the house.

Henderson says CeeCee has attempted to wander out a handful of times. At first, she thought the pooch was climbing underneath the gate, but she realized how the dog was leaving once she became trapped in the fence.

Since the subsequent attempt shown in the viral video, which has more than 15 million views on TikTok, CeeCee hasn't tried to escape again.

"I think that one took a bigger toll on her," Henderson says. "Even though her tail was wagging, I could tell she was still out of breath. Like, okay, get me down."

The pet parent describes CeeCee as "lovable" and "very friendly."

"That's one of my biggest fears, her leaving and someone taking her, and I'll never find her because she's just so friendly," she adds. "She is a sweetie. I love her."

Henderson, whose other pets include two pit bull mixes, Celena and Carlos, says CeeCee is "always up to something."

"She's kind of sneaky," she continues. "I'll go downstairs, and I'm like, 'CeeCee, where are you?' And she'll just come up from behind. I'm like, 'Whoa, I did not even see you over there. How do you do that?' She's quick."

Henderson says she's gotten a mixture of responses since sharing the clip on social media.

"Everyone that thinks it's so funny … they have experience with dogs, so they know that this is something dogs do," she says. "And of course, there are other people there, like, 'Oh, fix your gate, get her some training.' And you have to ignore those people because we all know she's very loved."

Reflecting on why the video went viral, she adds, "I guess it's just something you don't expect to catch on camera."
