Good Samaritan Saved Two Senior Dogs From Euthanasia But Tragedy Still Occurred

There are too many heartless people in this world, and we can see this best through their attitude toward pets. Neglect and abuse have become a daily occurrence, and the streets are increasingly full of abandoned dogs that have been left to fend for themselves.

To make matters worse, for some people, it is not enough to harm their furry pets but they don’t even want to let them live. Because of that, it is not unusual for some owners to appear with a request to euthanize their dog.

Yes, that is heartbreaking to its core, but what restores hope in a brighter future are the Good Samaritans who somehow always appear in those critical moments.

It was the same this time when one of these big-hearted people saved two senior dogs from California. Unfortunately, the neglect had such great consequences that the tragedy could not be avoided in the end.

Two Helpless Souls

Two senior dogs named Morticia and Gomez were neglected by their owners for a long time. Yet, to these cruel people, even that wasn’t enough to satisfy their sadism… they decided to take life from these helpless furry beings.

They came with a request to euthanize their dogs, and it seemed that nothing could save these two helpless souls. Luckily, a Good Samaritan appeared at the last moment and gave them a new chance.

They immediately brought them to the Valley Animal Center, an animal shelter located in Fresno, California. Big-hearted employees were heartbroken because of the state these two dogs were in, and the shelter even posted a TikTok video about them via their account, @valleyanimalcenter.

@valleyanimalcenter These two sweet souls were saved just in time by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan after their previous owners tried to surrender them for euthanasia. These older, sweet pups have endured severe neglect—covered in ticks, fleas, and painful mats. Morticia is also suffering from a massive hernia that requires surgery. Despite everything, they still wag their tails, holding on to hope for a better life. But they need your help. Please donate today using link in our bio to give Gomez and Morticia the medical care and love they’ve been denied for so long. Your support can change their future. 💔 Please note: They are not available for adoption yet as they are going through treatment. #shelterdogs #dogrescue #animalrescue #animalshelter #adoptdontshop #adoptme #trending #dogsoftiktok #dogtok #trend #blowthisup #fyppppppppppppp #fypage #fy #fypã‚·ã‚šviral #foryou #terrier #secondchance #fypã‚·ã‚šviral🖤tiktok☆♡ ♬ Surrender – Natalie Taylor

“These older, sweet pups have endured severe neglect—covered in ticks, fleas, and painful mats. Morticia is also suffering from a massive hernia that requires surgery.” they wrote in the caption of the video.

Despite everything, these great people did not want to give up on them so easily, especially because they saw a glimpse of home in their eyes, as well as their tails that were still wagging.

They did everything to make their last years of life as beautiful as possible.

The Memory Of Him Will Live Forever

As soon as these two dogs came to the shelter in Fresno, California, the staff started providing them with everything they needed in order to restore their health.

Although it seemed that Gomez was in better shape than Morticia when they first saw him, he soon began to show signs of distress. People who cared for him thought that it was just a minor cough, but they soon realized they were wrong.

This poor dog was suffering from a much more serious issue as the vet discovered trauma to his trachea, likely from previous harm. The shelter staff truly did everything to save him, but unfortunately, they did not succeed.

They had to say a painful goodbye to Gomez who, sadly, ended up as a victim of human malice. These people were totally heartbroken because of this loss, but they were also angry at those who were responsible for this sad ending.

However, they did not direct that anger into hatred; instead, it motivated them to do everything so that the other dog, Morticia, would not meet the same fate.

Gomez, on the other hand, will live forever in their hearts, and a memory of him will be an eternal reminder of the heartbreaking consequences that can result from human cruelty.
