When a note is left on someone’s door, it usually means something small has gone wrong; an appointment missed, a delivery delayed. But this one was different.
The message led the caretaker away from familiar paths and into a space hidden from view.
There he found a mother creature and her young ones, abandoned inside the property’s walls. Their presence was silent, uneasy, and unexpected.
What the Kansas property manager did next turned the note into an amazing rescue mission.
Someone Left Furry Babies

Not too long ago, employees from Point Guard Management were just doing a check on one of their properties located in Kansas.
The former tenants had already long been gone, so it was time to do some renovations before finding new people to move in.
When they got close to the door, they noticed that a note had been left on it. Upon getting to the door, they read it and were shocked.
Apparently, the former tenants left behind a cat and her kittens at the property. This shocked Patricia Mitnaul, who was a content creator for the management.

They went to look for them and were surprised to find one cat nearby. The desperate mama cat immediately walked up to Mitnaul and asked for help.
Mitnaul said on Instagram: “This cat is literally so friendly. I think she’s obsessed with me. I can’t walk without her walking between my legs.”
The cat who approached Mitnaul was very friendly, and the woman decided to give her the nickname Sissy.
Mitnaul kept looking for the kittens, but she couldn’t find them anywhere. While they looked, the woman gave Sissy some food and water.
A Rescue Operation

She continued her search and noticed a tiny crawlspace under the house where the kittens were hiding the whole time.
The Kansas property manager called Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL) in order to help trap the kittens. Since they were really small, they were really timid.
The rescuers arrived shortly after, and they managed to catch one of the kittens in the garage. The other two ran and hid from the rescuers.
Mitnaul’s coworker went into the crawl space in order to find the scared kittens, but he was not successful, unfortunately.

So, only one option remained for now. They had to be lured in with food as that was the easiest solution they could think of.
And that worked spectacularly. Shortly after, WAAL rescued all the kittens and immediately rushed them to the veterinary clinic in Kansas.
Both the mom and her kittens have roundworms, but the medication will help get rid of them. Mitnaul told The Dodo: “Mom got pretty sick from them and likely would not have survived without help.”
After they recover fully, all of them will be available for adoption, and I have no doubt that they will all find amazing homes soon.
