Ohio Dog Owner Reunites Two Sisters After Finding One In A Desperate State

By Robert Williams 10/28/2025

A woman named Wrenatha came across a post on Facebook about a puppy in need of a new home. What began as a heartwarming adoption quickly unfolded into something far more complicated. The story didn’t end with just one dog.

After bringing home Lovey, a Great Dane and Poodle mix, Wrenatha believed she had welcomed a healthy, spirited puppy into her life. But when she reached out to adopt Lovey’s sister, she was met with a heartbreaking discovery.

Rather than a joyful reunion between siblings, Wrenatha was confronted with a disturbing reality. The second puppy, whom she later named Noodle, was in a severely neglected state, malnourished, weak, and clearly suffering.

Could these two sisters still find happiness together, or had too much damage already been done?

A Second Puppy In Desperate Need

While browsing the Ohio-based Facebook group, Wrenatha found a listing for a nine-week-old puppy. The owner claimed the two sisters were simply too much to handle and needed to be re-homed. Wrenatha, an experienced dog owner, decided to adopt one of the pups and named her Lovey.

Lovey quickly settled into her new home, full of energy and affection. But her playful nature left her craving a companion. Wrenatha’s older dogs weren’t interested in keeping up with her, so she reached out to the original owner to inquire about adopting Lovey’s sister.

The woman agreed and arranged to meet in a parking lot. But as soon as Wrenatha arrived, she sensed something was wrong. The woman clutched the puppy tightly, then handed her over abruptly before driving away.

In Wrenatha’s arms was a frail, underweight puppy in visibly poor condition. The woman dismissed her appearance, claiming she was just a picky eater who occasionally skipped meals.

The truth was far more troubling. The puppy, now named Noodle, could barely stand on her own. A veterinary exam revealed she had worms, despite the previous owner’s claim that she had already been dewormed.

Her paws were infected from prolonged exposure to unsanitary conditions, and her legs had grown misshapen from being confined in a crate for too long. Every sign pointed to long-term neglect.

Wrenatha wondered if she had arrived too late to give Noodle the second chance she so desperately needed.

Healing Begins For Two Reunited Sisters

Soon after arriving at her new home in Ohio, Noodle began to show signs of recovery.

Within days, she started gaining weight, her legs began to straighten, and her energy slowly returned. The once fragile puppy was beginning to thrive.

Lovey and Noodle were finally together in a safe, loving environment. With Wrenatha’s home already filled with animals, it was clear the sisters would never be short on love or care.

Months later, Wrenatha shared their progress on TikTok. Noodle had gained 15 pounds and was full of life.

“She is a definite cuddle bug. She likes to come up to you or anybody that’s around her and introduce herself or get pet and loved on. You can just tell that she feels relaxed and tell that she feels happy and just she can feel we love her,” said Wrenatha for We Love Animals.

It was difficult to imagine how Noodle’s previous owner had ignored her condition and tried to downplay it. Thankfully, her story took a different path once she was reunited with her sister.

Now, both Lovey and Noodle live happily with Wrenatha, surrounded by warmth, care, and the joyful life every dog deserves.
