Rescuer Was Shocked To Find This Abandoned Mama Dog Who Gave Birth In A Filthy Basement

There are many reasons why any owner would be forced to surrender their dog to a shelter. Sometimes, it’s for financial reasons. Other times, it’s for health reasons.

But, it’s seldom justified to get rid of your dog just because you don’t feel like you want him anymore.

Dogs are an inseparable part of our lives and abandoning them will scar them for life. A lot of them have a hard time forming bonds with other people because of this reason alone.

This sweet dog was pregnant and then abandoned by her owner. When she had nowhere to go, she was forced to give birth in the basement of a building. Luckily, everything was about to change for her.

When a rescuer was informed about this dog who now lived in the basement, she went to the building and tried to figure out how to help her.

There was just a small problem. The mama dog was very scared and would run anytime anyone got close to her.

She tried to follow her to a very small and dark room where she was lying in the corner of the room and just looked like she was terrified.

The woman very slowly approached her, so she wouldn’t be scared and then tried to pet her slowly. Surprisingly, the dog didn’t attack her. She just stood still.

Her amazing rescuer then very carefully transported her babies to a small kennel where they were all safe and comfortable.

It didn’t look like any of them were injured or needed medical attention, but the rescuer took them to the vet just to make sure everything was okay before proceeding.

When the vet determined that all of them were okay and wouldn’t need any serious treatment, the rescuer took them into her home.

She tried to find a foster home for them, where they would receive better care, but she was unsuccessful.

She Decided To Foster Them

Nevertheless, she continued caring for them the whole time. The mama dog and her puppies looked safe and happy to be there.

However, just a few days later, the owner had an unfortunate accident and ended up breaking her arm. This wouldn’t deter her, as she would continue caring for this dog family 24/7.

The mama dog would also spend every waking moment just making sure that her babies are okay and getting everything they need.

In the care of this wonderful person, they would grow so fast. The puppies looked more adorable with each passing day.

However, the rescuer noticed that the mama dog, no matter how happy with the comfort she got, was still a little hesitant and afraid.

Nobody really knows what she went through before she was rescued, but it’s possible that she was abused by her previous owner.

Seeing a dog who is so scarred by her past is always incredibly depressing, but there is some hope in knowing that she is with such a great person right now and will hopefully recover from her trauma.

We don’t know how the story continues for this adorable dog family, but I can comfortably say that they are doing well wherever they are and I wish them all the best.
