This Neglected Dog Spent Years Living In Chains Until She Met Someone Who Changed Everything

There are so many people in this world who are convinced that dogs should serve as our guards and nothing else. To them, it’s the only reason they need.

Nevertheless, it’s a terrible excuse to put them through a lot of suffering. Dogs have been our friends for thousands of years and don’t deserve this kind of treatment.

Even if you are looking for a guard dog, there is really no excuse to treat them horribly and have them live in awful conditions.

These chained up dogs and a lot of puppies were going through similar problems, but luckily, their entire life would change when someone called for rescuers.

When Lisa, from Frankie Lola and Friends Rescue, In California, received this call, she and her team immediately gathered their things and rushed to help these poor dogs.

When they came to the location, they asked the owner of the house if they could go and help these dogs.

Lisa told The Dodo: “Right when we pulled up, the owner led us onto the property and it was pretty upsetting.

There were several dogs there, and all of them looked confused and scared. One was barking while the mama dog they came for was just excited to see someone.

It’s like she knew they were there to help her. The rescuers couldn’t believe the conditions these dogs were in. The mama dog had long nails and was completely emaciated.

Other dogs there weren’t doing much better. Their owner then walked into the garage and brought a crate with two more puppies inside.

He Surrendered Them All

The surprises just kept coming. When they politely asked him if he would surrender them to the rescuers, he simply said yes.

They were quite surprised, as they didn’t believe he would be so forthcoming, but he did the right thing. However, when they asked about taking the mama dog, he was hesitant.

At first, he wasn’t willing to give her up, but the rescuers offered alternatives. They were hoping that he would at least let her sleep somewhere comfortable, and they wanted to get her vaccinated.

A few moments later, the owner just took the dog and surrendered her to the rescuers who were even more surprised now.

Lisa said: “It pays to be kind. If I went in there and I didn’t treat him with kindness and I was rude, I wouldn’t have gotten that end result.

They realized there was another dog who needed help on the property, so they took him in as well. They didn’t want to leave any of them behind.

They Have All Found A Forever Home

While it may seem like the owner was being purposefully neglectful to the dogs, it was a different story.

It really seemed like he just had too many dogs but didn’t have the means or the resources to keep them all fed and healthy. Luckily, he acknowledged the problem and was able to get them the help they deserve.

The puppies were then taken to Lisa’s home in California where they spent a while before they were able to start searching for a forever home for them.

Unsurprisingly, the puppies were adopted first and are now living with their new families. As for the mama dog, now named Lucky, and the other dogs who were with her, they also received good news.

The rescuers were able to find a home for all of them. Lucky was doing great with her new parents, and she became completely unrecognizable after two months. She gained a lot of weight.

Lisa ends by saying: “That was such a joy to see her off of her leash and playing and incredibly loving.

She enjoys playing with her other dog siblings there, and she is living the life she always wanted for herself.
