Dogs are amazing, and they prove it daily.
Their loyalty and bravery have been confirmed countless times so far, and it’s absolutely safe to say that it makes them heroes in our lives. They guide the blind, comfort us, perform exceptionally well in law enforcement, and are first responders behind enemy lines. They’re always with us when we need them most.
Chase, a tiny Goldendoodle, is one such example. Recently, he was deemed a family hero when a fire broke out in their Long Beach, New York, home.
While everyone was asleep, it was Chase who first spotted the danger, and immediately jumped into action.
Reliable In The Toughest Times

To say that Chase truly loves his family would be an understatement. At two years of age, this tiny Goldendoodle has recently proved that he’d do whatever it takes to protect them.
On a Sunday morning, a fire broke out in the home while everyone was asleep inside. As the flames started to rage, it was Chase who alerted his family to the impending danger.
The flames quickly spread from the basement to the first and second floors of the home.
“Fire located in the basement and first and second floors, multiple hose lines were stretched to extinguish the fire, the Truck Companies had extensive overhaul to check for any remaining hot spots,” the City of Long Beach New York Fire Department shared on Facebook.
But rather than running and hiding, Chase did what dogs do best: he sprang into action!

Chase started barking loudly and running around the house. Soon enough, his owners woke up and evacuated on time, all thanks to Chase’s crucial act that turned the tide for this family.
The City of Long Beach New York Fire Department arrived at the scene within minutes. Before long, several other departments joined forces in the rescue mission. In the next forty minutes, the firemen brought the blaze under control with no casualties.
One occupant was evaluated by EMS on the scene, but there were no serious injuries reported.

“The Fire was brought under control in 40 minutes, one occupant was evaluated by EMS At the scene,” the New York Fire Department concluded.
Hero Dog

Thanks to Chase’s incredible senses, his family escaped the fire safely.
The rescue teams emphasized the importance of having smoke detectors and alarms, so these types of situations could be prevented in the first place. But as it turned out, nothing beats the love of a pet. This time, Chase risked it all for his loved ones, and definitely saved the day.
The 12-pound-boi proved how truly remarkable a pet he is.
There’s no doubt that Chase’s actions will be remembered in the years to come. He truly exemplified the meaning of reliability in the toughest times.
Happy life, Chase! And thank you for your bravery.
