The story of an abandoned Pitbull and her Yorkie mix best friend from Southern California perfectly embodies the saying, “Loyalty is a two-way street.”
When the pair was discovered lying together on the street, they were inseparable. Despite having no shelter or food, their bond was undeniable. They weren’t going to part ways.
Finding Comfort In Each Other’s Company

Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 in Irvine, California, received a call about two dogs huddled together on the street. With the chilly weather, the dogs kept each other warm by staying close together.

After asking around and receiving no information, Suzette decided to step in and rescue the pair herself. The small Yorkie was the first to approach, running straight into Suzette’s arms as though she had been waiting for this moment.
The Pitbull, although a bit more cautious, soon followed, wagging her tail and keeping a close eye on her tiny friend. Despite not wanting to wear a leash, she jumped into the car the moment the Yorkie was safely inside.
“Most people would have left the pit behind, but not on my watch. I truly have not seen a bond quite like this before,” Suzette wrote on Facebook.
Thelma And Louise Are Partners In Everything

Given their unbreakable bond, Suzette decided to name them Thelma (the Pitbull) and Louise (the Yorkie). Their loyalty to one another reminded her of the famous duo, Schwarzenegger and DeVito, from the movie Twins.
Initially, Suzette tried to separate the two for their safety during the ride by placing Thelma in a crate. However, the separation was heartbreaking. Louise immediately tried to squeeze into the crate with her best friend.
In the end, Suzette decided to let them ride together. They quickly curled up next to each other in the back of the car and fell asleep, content in each other’s company.

Locals reported that the two had been roaming the streets for about a week. Their lives had been tough, and they seemed despondent without a home, but their friendship kept them going. The joy they expressed when Suzette rescued them was unmistakable.
Hoping For A Forever Home, Together
The first stop on their recovery journey was a visit to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine. Louise’s fur was severely matted, and Thelma had a skin rash. Fortunately, both dogs are expected to make a full recovery.
Soon, they’ll be ready for foster care or, ideally, their forever home. But there’s one condition: they must be adopted together.
After everything they’ve been through, it’s clear that these two are inseparable. The hope is that the perfect family will soon come forward, ready to offer Thelma and Louise the loving home they’ve been waiting for.
