Woman Adopted A Dalmatian Dog She Found On An Ad Only To Be Stunned By Her Vet Bill

When people choose a dog they want to adopt, one of the most important factors in the selection is the breed.

In fact, I would argue that most people are very specific about that one demand. I am not much different. I like German Shepherds, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers.

However, I wouldn’t mind adopting any dog who really needs help. Similarly, Kailah Pink really likes Dalmatians and she has always wanted to adopt one.

Her luck would change for the better when she saw a Craigslist ad for this specific breed, so she decided to adopt her.

A Really Big Surprise

When Pink first saw the ad for her new Dalmatian dog, Bobbie, she had to drive for an hour to pick her up.

After that, they took Bobbie into her new forever home in California. Because Pink had researched her breed, she had certain expectations.

She was hoping this dog would be very energetic, which turned out to be true. One day, while they were just enjoying their time outside, something bad happened.

Bobbie was playing and accidentally swallowed a bee. Her new mom noticed that and she reacted immediately.

She was taken to the vet in California in a hurry, only to realize that this visit was very much needed, but for different reasons.

After the vets were done with their examinations, they found that Bobbie eating a bee was the least of her problems.

She had a form of bacteria called giardia, which she got by drinking dirty water filled with bacteria. This would cause her problems in the long run, so they decided to treat her.

Bobbie Is A Special Dog

The vet visit cost them $800. After that visit, the expenses just kept on increasing. Bobbie also had a broken toe, which needed treating.

She was also spayed, but Bobbie ended up bursting her stitches shortly afterward, which also required more treatment.

Because Bobby is prone to infections and kidney stones, Pink has to feed her very specific foods. He eats chicken eggs, quail eggs, lamb, chicken, salmon, duck, and veggies.

She is also allergic to some meat, like beef and turkey, because it made her sick the few times she did eat it.

This also costs the family extra money every week, but Pink never saw this as an issue. At the very end, when you add everything together, she spent at least $10,000 on Bobbie’s treatments.

She ended up also posting Bobbie’s story on TikTok and a lot of people found it really wholesome.

Despite this, she loves Bobbie very much and would happily do it all over again if she had to. She is a very special dog who loves her mom so much and they love spending almost all of their time together.

Even though Bobbie’s life might not be easy at times, she is so lucky to have such a great mom who cares for her every day.
