Woman Left The Door Open To Let Some Air In, Suddenly A Dog Appeared In Her Apartment

None of us likes to see a stranger even in front of the door, let alone in the apartment. Still, it’s not like it doesn’t happen to some people from time to time, and I’m not referring to thieves this time.

An unknown animal that suddenly appears behind your back in your own apartment is enough to make you shudder.

A woman named Kayla Sargeant just one day opened the door of her apartment for a moment to let in some air. After that, she turned in the opposite direction and then she felt something behind her. She turned around again and was shocked when she saw the dog in front of her.

However, she quickly realized that there was nothing to be afraid of, even more so.

He Kept Coming Back

At first, Kayla was completely shocked and didn’t know what to do. However, she quickly managed to pull herself together, especially when she realized that this dog was peaceful and didn’t come here to bite or anything like that.

When she observed him a bit more, she realized that he was a senior Pittie. He was such a friendly pup and the only thing he wanted was as many pets as he could get. Of course, Kayla immediately gave him all the love.

However, the problem was that he did not have the ID so Kayla couldn’t know where he came from. Since she lived with four other roommates in the apartment, she let the furry guest into the yard while they figured out what to do.

Yet, when they came back to the yard, he was nowhere to be found. They had no idea where he went, assuming that he might be a dog owned by some of their neighbors. But, before they even started to investigate, he came back

“This became a regular occurrence — he’d show up, we’d give him water [and] some food, some pets — and eventually when he was comfortable enough with us, we put a leash on him and walked him to our local vet to check for a microchip,” Kayla told The Dodo.

At the vet, they finally found out the truth.

This senior Pit Bull indeed had a family and they called him Fatty. Due to certain unfortunate circumstances, they were no longer able to take care of him.

After that, he went wandering from door to door in search of love until he finally found his new favorite people. He couldn’t even dream that he would find the greatest happiness in his life with Kayla and her roommates.

“He’s doing great now,” Kayla said. “He’s clean, loved, happy and well-fed! We will be taking care of him as long as needed.”

They now call him House Hippo, Old Man, or Stinky Boy. He has everything he needs – from good food to a comfy bed. Besides that, two of the roommates are veterinarians themselves, meaning that he is in safe hands.

This senior dog was looking for a way to happiness for a long time, knocking on many doors, but he did not give up. He found these kind souls at the last moment, who gave him their hearts and filled his last years with joy.
